We had a GREAT last day! We began at 7 again, ate breakfast and headed off to conditioning for the last time this week. I am sure the kids are THRILLED about that (especially Rachel's abs and Chase's legs ;) ) Then we headed off to the ropes course, which was a FANTASTIC time! Everyone went two times (except Katey because she was afraid of the height). But it was a really fun and challenging time! Then we went to afternoon class and had an excellent day! Katey did a rudi on DM, John worked rudi out and full out on tramp, Chase and Rachel were flipping TONS of doubles on rod floor, and Caitlyn learned a back half on trampoline! It was a great finish to the end of camp! We then went to dinner and back to the gym. Rachel flipped a few more doubles with Tom and Chase worked double pikes on tumble track. John worked some whips and twisting. Caitlyn did her Whip Back Tuck, and Katey worked some more front twisting! We took the evening pretty easy and headed back to the gym only one more time today for one last hoorah. The kids did their last tricks off the tumble track and trampoline before heading back to the canteen to enjoy a free pizza Chase and Rachel won for everyone! The kids find out tonight who of their group wins the TAP award. Those chosen get to come back to camp for $300 off the last week!
**I have tried to upload Katey's rudi, but for some reason, it is the only video that says "failed" so I am SO SORRY I cannot get that up for everyone to see :'(**
All in all I think we are ready to come home but are going to miss learning and working all the new skills the kids have gained this week. We are excited to come back to good Internet, TV, and all that good stuff (especially hot showers and home cooked meals!!!) We were so lucky to have such a GREAT coach this week. We would not be where we are without Tom!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Kateri- Just wanted to say thanks for keeping up this blog while you've been at camp. It's been great to watch John grow throughout the week- and to get my daily fix while I've been in Ireland. It's meant a lot to me- thanks again.
