DAY 2 CAMP WOODWARD

The kids were woken up at 7 this morning and I met them in the cafeteria for breakfast at 8. We had an open workout at 9 and the kids worked until lunch. Caitlyn learned her back straight on the trampoline with Tom. Rachel worked on her back fulls on trampoline, and Chase worked on double fulls. Katey and John went to the bungee trampoline and John did triple backs and Katey was bouncing SUPER high. We then took a break and ate lunch at the chicken grill. After lunch we headed back to the gym to watch the tumbling demo at 1. This was AMAZING. The Danish and Scandinavian were insane.  After the demo the kids had class from 1:30-4:00. There are 11 power tumblers at camp this week and they are altogether with three coaches, Tom, Ryan and one of the Scandinavian coaches. The kids worked really hard and learned as well as cleaned up A LOT of skills today. John, Chase, Rachel, and Caitlyn worked some trampoline skills in belts for the first time. John worked full out, Rachel did ½ out tucks, Chase worked double lays and Caitlyn worked back fulls. Katey worked on both her front and back twisting today on Tramp and DM. After class we all went to dinner together, we ate in the Dining Hall. Dinner tonight was spaghetti, meatballs, green beans and garlic bread. After we finished eating the kids went RIGHT back to the gym to do some more open gym. (I can’t stop them)! John, Katey and Caitlyn then went off to swim at about 6 while Chase and Rachel stayed in the gym and worked some tumbling and trampoline. Tom (their coach) popped his head in and worked with them for a bit as well.  He is quite impressed with our kids! After Chase and Rachel got tired (I know, it actually happened, they got tired) they all swam together and had contests on the log in the pool. We are now all hanging out in the canteen eating some ice cream and playing some games. The kids did SO GREAT today, and we are really looking forward to the rest of the week.

** Sorry these aren't getting up on the right days! The internet here is quite sporadic so I am getting on and posting when I can!! :) **
